PokerRide! May 23-25

Gather Virtually, Participate Individually, Spread the Love!

Bicycle playing cardA safe and exceptional experience for our riders and volunteers has always been our top priority. The traditional AngelRide welcomes many opportunities for people to gather. That will not be possible this spring, so we are switching gears!

AngelRide has a FUN way to keep our community engaged, provide a bit of motivation for training, and encourage a physical challenge - all while staying safe - a PokerRide! A $1,000 donation will be made to the Arthur C. Luf Children’s Burn Camp in honor of the person with the best hand!

It's all about the kids.

For the second year, AngelRide will be supporting The Arthur C. Luf Children’s Burn Camp, operated by the Connecticut Burns Care Foundation. The only Burn Camp in New England, it provides a fun, safe, natural outdoor environment for kids ages 8 to 18 from around the world who have survived life-altering burn injuries

The Arthur C. Luf Children’s Burn Camp encourages camaraderie coupled with physical and social activities designed to help campers overcome anxieties, re-develop and enhance their physical skills, and allow them to move psychologically beyond their scarring and burn injuries.

All children attend free of charge. Expenses for lodging, meals, arts/crafts, activities and programs are paid for by the Foundation.

Most of these children have never seen a campground or enjoyed an overnight camp-out, let alone the many other camp activities which include campfires, hiking, fishing, archery, boating, and a challenging ropes course.

Firefighters, EMT's, medical professionals trained in treating burns, adult burn survivors, and caring individuals from many walks of life create a team of counselors that support the young survivors. All counselors serve on a volunteer basis.

It’s also about you.

We aim to offer you an experience of a lifetime! From an athletic challenge, to the camaraderie and support of the AngelRide community to a direct impact on the lives of children dealing with trauma, it is easy to see why AngelRide has become a tradition for so many.

Riders and Walkers / Runners and Motorcyclists too!

You can do it! Finish in 1 day, 2 days or 3 days! Choose your own route - outdoors or indoors!

All ages welcome!
